If the Hundred Years' War had been fought with paintballs instead of rifles, it might still be happening, but it'd be so colorful that no one would mind. Experience your own vibrant battlefield with today's Groupon: for $20, you get all-day paintballing at Survival Game of Texas (a $41.95 value). This Groupon includes admission with equipment fees and 300 paintballs. Guests cannot bring their own paintballs.

The Aldine battleground has been providing paint-splattered thrills to artful warriors on its 47-acre course for more than 26 years. Included in the all-day pass is entry ($5) and a plethora of paintball equipment ($25)—goggles, top-of-the-line paintball guns, a face mask, all-day air, a designated referee, and a heaping dose of courage. Players will also get 300 paintballs ($16.95). Survival Game of Texas's course comprises several professionally run fields—practice a quick getaway in the park's speedball field, or relive the Pollock-inspired battles of medieval warriors as you race around the 3,000-square-foot twin castles. Survival Game of Texas also includes a realistic Vietnam village with huts and flag base, a jungle with twisty and turny paths, and a natural creek for dramatic effect and last-minute bathing.

Paintball is an ideal activity for politically fractured book clubs looking to finally settle unsettled scores, or fractured families in need of contact-sport bonding. Call ahead to schedule your battle royale on the fields of Survival Game of Texas.

Reviews

PBReview.com reviewers have this to say about Survival Game of Texas:

  • We went in a group of 25 and all had a great time. If you're reading this and are about to go for your first time, don't be afraid to ask the refs questions about anything and everything before the start of the match. – Sn1p3r77
  • Personally enjoyed the urban style paintball, in Western Town. Its [sic] a fast paced game with structures to hide behind. Just helps out experienced players as well as the beginners to have extra cover. – jayjohnson

Survival Game of Texas

Crawling through sand dunes, diving into bunkers, charging over wooden bridges—this is what it takes to overthrow Normandy's two-story French house at Survival Game of Texas. This World War II-inspired expanse is one of the facility's many outdoor fields spread across their 47 acres of terrain. On courses designed for beginners, guests duel among wild west-style buildings, navigate a jungle maze, and duck into the huts scattered amid a realistic Vietnamese village. They can also ward off opponents from twin three-story castles featuring spiral staircases, a catwalk, and a napping ogre. Under the watchful eyes of referees, visitors 12 and over duke it out seven days a week, including during Survival Game of Texas's special events, which include seven-hour scenario games.
