About Sushi Hachi
It’s about time that the Washington, DC area had a go-to sushi destination that offered a premier dining experience that didn’t break the bank. Owner and entrepreneur Steve Yoon has realized his own dream as well as that of countless District residents with his new venture Sushi Hachi. The first thing that diners will notice is the minimalist, yet harmonious modern décor that gives the familiar ambience of your upscale sushi restaurant in Tokyo, Japan. Chefs appropriately brings their craft from Tokyo, and presents fresh authentic sushi with an innovative approach to offer the premier dining experience many believed to be missing from the District’s dining scene.
Take a look at some of Sushi Hachi's signature dishes:
Omakase: This premium 8 course chef’s choice meal starts out with a chef’s appetizer and the soup of the day. It moves on to the freshest sashimi and nigiri that is handpicked by the chef depending on the fish choice of the day. The abundant courses include seasonal vegetable tempura, a Japanese traditional cold noodle dish and dessert.
Hand Roll Course: A special course meal that’s designed especially for hand roll lovers. For the uninitiated, hand rolls are the minimalistic crafted version of the better known maki rolls that are largely prevalent in the U.S. Diners can choose from various choices of hand rolls.
Wagyu Beef “Ishiyaki” Sushi Hachi Style: For diners who want to try a different experience, Sushi Hachi presents an “Ishiyaki” style wagyu beef. Garnished with truffle salt, Yuzu Kosho, Daikon-Chili Ponzu, and a vegetable medley, diners enjoy grilling thinly sliced premium wagyu beef on top of a hot stone grill right at their table.
