Q:

I have insurance that covers exams only. Can I still use this to purchase the glasses?

BERNICE Y.  asked on  Mar 25, 2013

A:

Yes Bernice, you can use the Groupon to cover your glasses and your insurance to cover your eye exam. You'd want to purchase the $49 Groupon for eyeglasses - and you'll get $200 off your eyeglass purchase.

Q:

So for the $200.00 worth of eyewear along with an exam, can you get it towards the extras like, scratch protection and thinner lenses along with the frames? I'm thinking to get this for my daughter who is 6.

Lisa P.  asked on  Mar 25, 2013

A:

Lisa, the groupon covers up to $200. Kids glasses include polycarbonate at no additional charge - thin, light, scratch resistant and UV protected - for $79. Frames start at $59 and go up to about $189. The $69 groupon covers the exam and up to $200 off glasses - so that's a great deal!

Q:

I am a contact lense wearer. Does this deal include contact lenses? If not, when I use the coupon towards the exam and eyeglasses, will I also get a script so I can buy the contacts thru companies like 1(800) CONTACTS which require a current script? Thx

Giacomo C.  asked on  Mar 26, 2013

A:

The groupon is for a standard eye exam and eyeglasses. It does not include contact lenses or the additional fees for a contact lens exam. The CL exam and fitting run an additional $65 - $100 depending on the type of lenses you need to be fit with.

Q:

Can I pay the difference to get an eye exam that will be good for contacts too and still use the 200.00 for new glasses? I wear contacts also and need to get an exam for contacts but I want to buy new glasses with this deal.

Tara T.  asked on  Mar 25, 2013

A:

Tara, yes you can pay the difference for the contact lens exam. CL exams begin at an additional $65 depending on the type of Rx/lenses. So... The $69 groupon covers the base exam and $200 toward glasses. You can update your CL Rx by paying for the additional CL exam. Hope that answers your question.
