This was a fantastic trip. We went on our way from the Outer Banks to Raleigh and we did not allocate enough time. The 1 1/2 hours we spend was not nearly long enough to see everything there. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

There are so many varieties of birds there, it's amazing! There is information posted at each different point to tell you what birds you will be seeing and where they are from. It is a very relaxing atmosphere, and a wonderful place to take photos! Some of the birds there are skilled in getting your attention by splashing around like crazy so you will see them. Even a flamingo did that! It's a lot of fun! Also, it's very informative. Great experience!
