$95 for a Diagnostic Assessment and Four Sylvan Program Hours ($330 Value)
Students complete a diagnostic assessment which pinpoints lacking skills in one of the following subjects: Beginning Reading, Academic Reading, or Math Essentials. To help ensure students keep pace and ultimately get ahead, each program hour is limited to three students for every one Ontario-certified teacher.
Understanding that each child learns differently, the Ontario-certified teachers of Sylvan Learning’s numerous study centres design custom lesson programs. Based on the results of standardized testing, diagnostic tools, and one-on-one interviews, the Ontario-certified teacher works with students to help them firmly grasp basic skills such as reading, writing, and math. Programs target students in kindergarten through grade 12 and mold to various learning styles, helping kids feel more comfortable in the classroom. After-school or summer classes can ready high-school students for the rigors of the ACT or the SAT, or they can help students wow college-admissions officers with their superior writing skills and exemplary test scores.
