Though it is illegal for pranksters to shout about nonexistent fires in a theater, shrieking after an encounter with an underseat gum wad is permissible. Shout about what's on stage instead with today's Groupon to see plays at Synchronicity on Euclid Avenue. Choose between two performances:
- For $11, you get one ticket to Exit, Pursued by a Bear, which shows at 8 p.m. Thursdays–Saturdays and at 7 p.m. Sundays from March 3–27 (a $23 value).
- For $9, you get one ticket to 101 Humiliating Stories, which shows at 8 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from March 14–23 (an $18 value).
Synchronicity annually performs three contemporary plays for adults and two or three family-friendly musicals as part of its commitment to raise the local and national profile of Atlanta theater. 101 Humiliating Stories, which tells the story of an urbane lesbian performing artist returning to perform at her Midwestern high-school reunion, and Exit, Pursued by a Bear, a Shakespeare-inspired revenge yarn, are featured titles in Synchronicity's Bold Voices Series. Performances of both shows will run at 7 Stages Theatre, when the play will be returned to a dramaturgical library to spend the holidays with its leather-bound family.
Please be aware that both plays contain adult content and are recommended for mature audiences.
