Shabu Shabu means "swish swish" in Japanese. Essentially, you are to swish the raw meat around the hot broth and cook the meat to your desired done-ness and dip into the sauces, or for the adventurous, a raw, pasteurized egg. 

The broth is light and should develop more bountiful flavors after the submersion of meats, proteins, and vegetables. Try a broth bomb for a more intense, savory broth.
