The concealed-carry course is composed of 2 hours of range instruction, including qualifying drills and 10 hours of classroom instruction. Students learn Ohio law and alternative defensive options. The course includes all range supplies, training materials, and light refreshments, and pupils receive personalized feedback and coaching, a take-home law packet, a certificate of completion and a concealed-carry application form. The Get to Know Your Gun workshop complements this course with an overview of revolvers and semi-automatics and firearm cleaning. The workshop includes range supplies and training materials, a semiprivate range lesson, and basic shooting instruction.
After an orientation and safety briefing, coed gun-range visitors learn range etiquette and best practices. They also receive a silhouette and photorealistic target and eye and ear protection during their semiprivate instructional session. The female-only experience mirrors the coed experience, except that all instructors and range-safety personnel are women.
With all options, rental guns and ammunition are available with advance notice.
