We had a wonderful experience at Taj Punjabi. we visited about 10pm on a Sunday night. It was a short 2 block walk from our resort. Our was server was a delightful, warm, and friendly woman who is studying for as Master of Science in IT. The food was hot when it arrived and everything tasted as it should. The food was fresh, deeply flavorful, and filling. The quality of the food is much better than anything we have been able to find at home in Pittsburgh. The only negatives we had are that we didn't realize an extra plate of rice would be $8.99! (We figured it would be $3-4.) They were also out of change in their cash drawer, which meant we had to pay for the tip with our card.

Authentic Indian restaurant serves more than a hundred dishes on its a la carte menu, plus lavish lunch and dinner buffets

About Taj Punjabi Indian Restaurant

The menu at Taj Punjabi is as colorful and diverse as the Punjab region of Northern India it takes its inspiration from. Known for rich flavors, bold spices, and unique tandoori-cooking methods, Punjabi cuisine relies on fresh, premium ingredients—including grains and milk products straight from India—to bring its eclectic assortment of dishes to delicious fruition. To that end, the cooks here use right-off-the-stem herbs and spinach to fortify the potatoes in the aloo palak, stew up a bounty of garden-fresh veggies in the vegetarian curry, and buoy the pillaw rice with top-of-the-line almonds, cashews, and raisins. And to help clients sop up every last ounce of the rich, creamy sauces, they sizzle up more than a dozen Indian breads, including tandoor roti, garlic naan, and unleavened chapati.
