What You'll Get
Sailing bestows people with stylish windblown hair and the ability to talk to clams before putting them in chowder. Reap boating benefits with today’s Groupon to the Tall Ship Silva. Choose between the following options:
- For $18, you get two tickets to a harbour cruise (up to a $39.90 value).
- For $25, you get a family pass to a harbour cruise for up to two adults and four children (a $58.95 value). Children under 5 always sail for free.
Tours leave at 12:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. daily, and the family pass is not valid for the 60-minute The Nooner cruise leaving at 12:00 p.m. on weekdays.
Tall Ship Silva's 130-foot schooner floats sojourners along Halifax's coastline under the direction of a Transport Canada–certified crew. A pair of mates or a family of up to six can join any 90-minute daytime tour and ask questions of the friendly crew, listen to maritime tunes on a spacious deck, and high-five passing kelp. Each day-cruise includes a junior sailing program so kids can take the helm with the captain or lower the sails alongside an instructive crewmember. Without any guides whispering hushed gossip over the loudspeaker, passengers can relax with a drink or light snack (not included in today's deal) from the ship's licensed pub, or stroll along the spacious deck.

About "Tall Ship Silva" and "Tall Ship Mar"
Buoyed by the winds and guided by skilled crews, the Tall Ship Silva and tall ship _Mar_—a 130-foot schooner and a 75-foot ketch respectively—allow passengers to explore Halifax Harbour while gently cresting swells and gliding across calm waters. Morning, afternoon, evening, and moonlit tours leave whenever conditions permit. These outings can provide guests with distinctive views of the Halifax skyline, George's Island and its iconic lighthouse, and any marine life that happens to swim past the vessels. Although passengers have the opportunity to simply sit back and enjoy the sights, they can also take a more active role by asking about local landmarks or assisting crew members as they set sails and blow into the mainmast whenever the winds die down.
The Tall Ship Silva and the Mar also cater to groups' needs by providing them with access to modern amenities throughout each voyage. Each vessel includes below-deck lounging areas, washroom facilities, and a fully licensed bar area where guests can savour anything from a locally brewed beer to a single-malt scotch. The larger Tall Ship Silva also has space for additional features intended to make outings every more luxurious. A wide outdoor deck lined with varnished wood seating allows as many as 150 passengers to pick their favourite view of the harbour and settle in for a while.
