During the 60-minute experience, a certified flight instructor first spends time teaching basic flight maneuvers and specialty operations, such as instrument training, emergency procedures, and waving at passing clouds. Students take to the air for up to 45 minutes at the controls of a Cessna 172 airplane as the instructor coaches them through the ins and outs of riding the skyway.
