Early man’s attempts at flying included sewing feathers onto his arms or trying to harpoon a passing comet. Learn to fly the new-fashioned way with this Groupon.
$99 for an Introductory Flight Experience ($205 Value)
During the 60-minute experience, a certified flight instructor first spends time teaching basic flight maneuvers and specialty operations, such as instrument training, emergency procedures, and waving at passing clouds. Students take to the air for up to 45 minutes at the controls of a Cessna 172 airplane as the instructor coaches them through the ins and outs of riding the skyway. Each customer receives a keepsake photo of the adventure.
Tampa Bay Aviation
White sand beaches spread out into the distance, running into the cerulean-blue sea, where seaweed and fish can be seen drifting below the surface. Tree-studded islands and winding sandbars pass underneath, and a white suspension bridge stretches across the horizon like a length of thread. Tampa Bay Aviation's visitors take in these elevated, panoramic views of the Florida coastline from the passenger’s seat or behind the controls of an airplane or helicopter.
Its team of certified flight instructors and experienced commercial pilots operates a fleet of Cessna 172 and Piper Cherokee planes, Robinson R22 helicopters, and an FAA-approved helicopter simulator. During flight experiences and pilot-training programs, they let clients take the aircraft's controls without having to first duel the ghosts of the Wright brothers. They also take clients skyward for aerial surveys and photography sessions.

“Our flight instructor was great. He let us make it our experience. We could do serious training or we could do Rollercoaster and dead drops, we could go toward the city or over the ocean. I loved that! He was educational and informative but ver complementary to what my husband did well. I would do it again in a heart beat. Thank you all for being so kind.”
