Molded into existence with help from the Tampa Bay Woman Newspaper, Sweet Saturday and Chocolate Sunday lavish taste buds with decadent treats from more than 30 unique vendors, including The Melting Pot, Kilwin’s, and Whole Foods. Tickets usher guests into the event’s cocoa abode, where load-bearing walls are in constant danger of being eaten and a slew of chocolatiers, confectioners, and pastry pros showcase culinary skills during various demos and competitions. In between chef-applauding claps, hands can grab morsels of artisan chocolate, tear apart gourmet baked goods, or tilt back samples of chocolate-flavored beer, wine, and martinis from tasting booths throughout the facility. Auctioneers dole out prizes during live and silent auctions to benefit several charities, allowing guests to nab delicious mementos or watch a bidding war between two rival mimes.
