Q:

My daughter does not have pierced ears. Can you accomodate that or do we need to bring our own fittings? Thanks!

Carol C. N.  asked on  Aug 27, 2012

A:

Carol, the kits are pre-made with fittings for pierced ears. We are happy to accomodate for those who do not have pierced ears as we carry clip-on earpieces, sold seperately from the kit for $0.75 per pair. Additionally, with the groupon you would get a discount on items such as this the day of class.

Q:

Is this somethihg children can attend with an adult? I have an 11 year-old that loves to make bracelets...

Nicole J.  asked on  Aug 26, 2012

A:

Yes, both classes are good for beaders of all ages. Some very young children may have difficulty in 102 operating some of the tools, but we can offer assistance on those steps. Your 11-year old would very likely have a great time!

Q:

In the offer for 15$, do we have to bring the material or it will provided in the class itself? Class is for how long ?

Ekta  asked on  Aug 26, 2012

A:

Both 101 and 102 are one hour long each. All of the materials are included in the price of $15, and we have a special selection of beads from which you may choose to make your project. Additional beads, findings, and tools are sold seperately as our store carries many options. Tools will be available for you to borrow during class, or you may bring your own tools if you would like. The full materials lists for both classes are available on our website at : http://www.tampabeadcafe.com/topics/classes/new

Q:

For the beading class 101 and 102 , how many times do we need to attend class? Is it two or are they combined so its one visit? Or are they mulitple days of these two classes?

Laura D.  asked on  Aug 27, 2012

A:

Laura, both options you mentioned are available. We offer 101 and 102 on several days where they are back-to-back, where each class is an hour long. You could attend both classes in one visit, or you could attend each class on a different day. Our September calendar is online at http://www.tampabeadcafe.com/calendar for your convenience. To reserve a space, simply call the store at 813-374-9099 M-F between 10-6 or Sundays between 1-5 and we would be glad to assist.

Q:

would this be good for my wife and our 4.5 year old daughter or is that too young for something like this?

William B.  asked on  Aug 27, 2012

A:

We have taught our 101 class to beaders of all ages, as young as kindergarten. The 102 class invloves working with pliers and small wire, and as such some small hands do not have as much dexterity to bend the wire themselves. However, we would be glad to help with the "hard stuff" and your daughter could pick out the beads which is the fun part. In the 102 class the kit does include earring parts for pierced ears. Hope that information helps!
