We would like to say a special thank you to Tanganyika. We tried to go on Aug 22nd for the Wed nights where they were open later but they stopped the week before. The man working (young, dark glasses) was very apologetic and gave our son a small tiger and a coupon for another time. When we went yesterday we were the only people in the park and we had basically a private tour by Mike S. He was wonderful. Our son has Autism and Mike was great with him. We already loved Tanganyika but you guys went above and beyond this time, thank you! The Williams Family

Extremely clean and beautiful park! We could not believe that we could get close enough to the kangaroos to see the babies in their pouches, could feed the giraffes, and could even let lemurs sit on our laps! We will definitely be visiting the Tanganyika Wildlife Park again!

The family-oriented Tanganyika Wildlife Park adds a hefty interactive element to the traditional zoo experience. Visitors are free to roam the grounds and spot snow leopards, walk with kangaroos, or feed such species as rainbow lorikeets, tortoises, and giraffes. Guests can hitch a ride atop a camel before catching up-close glimpses of such species as ring-tailed lemurs, a two-and-a-half-ton Indian rhinoceros, or any of the park's numerous babies, including a honey badger. The park is open daily May–August, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.; check the park website for fall hours. Children under 3 are admitted for free.

Though Tanganyika Wildlife Park features a discounted price for children and seniors, this Groupon still offers the best deal available.

About Tanganyika Wildlife Park

The animal-loving owners of Tanganyika Wildlife Park know that in order to save endangered animals, humans must feel a strong connection to them. It is the park’s mission to foster this connection by putting visitors in close contact with its rare animals. Visitors can gaze at cheetahs and red pandas and feed reticulated giraffes and African spur-thighed tortoises, which are best known for their role in slow-motion Westerns. The park also safeguards endangered animals from extinction by breeding species such as clouded leopards and amur leopards.
