Great, creative menu items with an extensive wine list. Their wine prices are a bit high compared to some places especially if buy by the glass as their pours are only about 4 ounces, none less the atmosphere and selection are worth a visit!

Wonderful experience always

The waiter got my order wrong (I ordered a steak sandwich, I got a hamburger, which is what my lunch companion also ordered), and the waitress/cashier was a space cadet. Took a bit long to get the food, but when it came it was well prepared, a good temperature and the price was reasonable. So I would go back and I would tell the person to whom I was recommending to allow extra time but it was worth it.

What You'll Get

If grapes could talk, they'd recount their dreams, the first time they got plucked, and the first time they felt victimized by nature's rumor mill—the vine. Taste the tales of the grape with today's Groupon to Tannin Wine Bar & Kitchen, located on Walnut Street. Choose between the following options:

  • $10 for $20 worth of contemporary-American lunch fare
  • $15 for $30 worth of contemporary-American dinner fare

Nestled in the Crossroads Arts District, Tannin Wine Bar & Kitchen sates sophisticated palates with seasonal, contemporary-American cuisine and an eclectic selection of voluptuous vinos from around the world. Midday grape guzzlers can indulge taste buds with a lunch menu boasting a savory selection of gourmet portobello, pork, and strip-steak sandwiches ($8–$11). For dinner, indulge in a selection of pre-meal cheeses that include drunken goat, port-salut, and jokes told by the waiter's uncle on Christmas ($6/individual, $15/choice of three). Diners can savor the aromatics rising from a piping plate of seared ahi tuna served with wasabi mashed potatoes and tempura asparagus ($26), or sink knives into a grilled pork chop served with a three-veggie succotash and golden-potato hash ($23). A stalwart array of cutlery helps guests plot the epic four-course tasting menu that can be paired with a selection of wines or a tiny pair of wind-up chattering teeth ($38/person).

Tannin's globe-trotting wine list features sparking varietals from Italy and France, along with whites and reds from Germany, Austria, and Australia and burnt siennas from the Crayola isles. Self-satiate with a glass of Leitz German riesling ($7), or delight the table with a bottle of Slovenian Movia ($26) or a South African chenin blanc ($22).
