Named Best New Golf Course in Ontario in 2008 by Fairways Magazine, Tarandowah Golfers Club boasts an authentic links course designed by noted course architect Dr. Martin Hawtree. Mostly devoid of water hazards but abundant in wind, the golf club offers links denizens of both recent and long-time standing a chance to test their mettle on 18 challenging holes. Measuring 7,067 yards from the tips, the course's largely treeless, undulating fairways call to mind the sand dunes of coastal Scotland, where golf originated. The greens, bordered with fescue grasses and pocked with deep, sod-faced bunkers, call to mind a giant pool table with dugouts for ball-hungry field gnomes. When playing in pairs, golfers can take the helm of a power cart for a more efficient exeunt into the sunset. For an additional fee, club swingers can rent a club ($17.70) and a bucket of golf balls ($4.42–$8.85) to take warning shots against gravity at the practice range.

About Tarandowah Golfers Club
After channeling the insight passed down from a lineage of golf-course architects, Englishman Dr. Martin Hawtree designed Tarandowah Golfers Club as an authentic links course that has been praised by publications including ScoreGolf and Ontario Golf Magazine. The par 70 course circles a body of water and tight-knit grouping of trees, exchanging typical course hazards for an abundance of trajectory altering winds. Sod-faced bunkers and wispy fescue grasses border the course's greens, which are spread out over 7,067 yards from the tips. Tarandowah Golfers Club also houses a clubhouse with food and beverages and a driving range where golfers can calibrate their swings or showcase new post-putt struts.
