I appreciated being allowed to play despite the fact that my coupon expired last July. We couldn't play last year due to injuries. I have one more expired coupon to use and I want Tarandowah to know that I appreciate their kindness.

What You'll Get

Like the seedpod of the sacred lotus, golf courses are filled with holes and cause feelings of euphoria when chewed. Reach euphoric heights with today's Groupon: for $79, you get a round of golf for two, cart rental, and two buckets of balls at Tarandowah Golfers Club in Avon (up to a $162 value).

Named "Best New Golf Course in Ontario" in 2008 by Fairways magazine, Tarandowah Golfers Club boasts an authentic links course designed by noted course architect Dr. Martin Hawtree to reflect the game's roots in windswept coastal regions. Measuring 7,067 yards from the tips,. The course's largely treeless, undulating fairways call to mind the sand dunes of coastal Scotland where golf originated, while the greens, bordered with fescue grasses and pocked with deep, sod-faced bunkers, call to mind a giant pool table with dugouts for leprechauns. Almost devoid of water hazards but abundant in wind, Tarandowah Golfers Club offers links denizens of both recent and longtime standing a chance to test their mettle on 18 challenging holes on a course rooted in the game's history and traditions.

Tarandowah Golfers Club has appeared in the Woodstock Sentinel Review. The course was named one of SCOREGolf's 2010 top 100 golf courses in Canada and has been reviewed by Fairways Magazine, which named Tarandowah the Best New Golf Course in Ontario in 2008.

  • It’s a course designed for all skill levels — providing a challenge for more seasoned golfers and a good place to learn for those getting started in the sport. – Jennifer Vandermeer, Woodstock Sentinel Review
  • Designed by noted English course architect Dr. Martin Hawtree, Tarandowah is a spectacular classic links course measuring just over 7,000 yards from the tips. – Marty Henwood, Fairways

About Tarandowah Golfers Club

After channeling the insight passed down from a lineage of golf-course architects, Englishman Dr. Martin Hawtree designed Tarandowah Golfers Club as an authentic links course that has been praised by publications including ScoreGolf and Ontario Golf Magazine. The par 70 course circles a body of water and tight-knit grouping of trees, exchanging typical course hazards for an abundance of trajectory altering winds. Sod-faced bunkers and wispy fescue grasses border the course's greens, which are spread out over 7,067 yards from the tips. Tarandowah Golfers Club also houses a clubhouse with food and beverages and a driving range where golfers can calibrate their swings or showcase new post-putt struts.
