The dueling glove was originally an invention of chefs who would slap turkeys with oven mitts and demand electric knives at dawn. Taste the edible creations of culinary innovators with today's Groupon to Taste of Bergen County on Wednesday, February 9 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., located in the Woman's Club of Ridgewood. Choose between two options:
- For $30, you get a food and wine tasting ticket (a $60 value).
- For $17, you get a food tasting ticket (a $35 value).
During this year's Taste of Bergen County, more than 15 local restaurants such as Chakra, Blue Moon Mexican Cafe, and Bourbon BBQ will dazzle guests with a dynamic array of flavors, while Queen Anne Wine will keep conversations lubricated with a hearty array of wine. As guests sip and schneck, guitarist Carlos Revollar and an accompanying flamenco dancer will amaze audiences with frenzied footwork, furious strumming, and dangerously high levels of Antonio Banderosity. Although not included in this Groupon, there will also be a raffle and a blackjack table, so bring your bowl of lucky-shaped marshmallows, just in case. Many of Wednesday's proceeds benefit local charities, including Center for Food Action, National Urban League for Bergen County, and New Jersey State Police Benevolent Association.
