A Chat with Taste of Bhakti
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
At the Taste of Bhakti, we use quality fresh and organic ingredients such as organic gluten-free tamari sauce, unrefined sugar, tofu, quinoa, sea salt, etc. We also have many vegan and gluten-free options to choose from, and we prepare international menus with a hint of Indian cuisine.
What is one of your most popular offerings? How is it prepared?
Our kale and beet salad with maple vinaigrette has raw, washed kale massaged (by a licensed professional) with the house dressing and tossed with roasted beets. Koftas (veggie falafels) are made with veggies, chickpea, and rice flour and soaked in a fresh tomato-coconut sauce.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
The Taste of Bhakti is a part of a large nonprofit cultural center dedicated to giving people an insightful look at living a healthy, balanced, and peaceful lifestyle. We prepare tasty foodstuffs consciously, and we are here to encourage and share our culture with the world.
What do you love most about your job?
The most inspirational and enjoyable part of serving here is the reaction we get from our customers, many of whom have never tried or tasted healthy and consciously prepared foodstuffs or who love to learn about many of the other activities that happen here.
