Wine and music are both judged by how well they age and how they make dolphins react. Concoct your own auditory and gustatory responses with today's Groupon: for $12, you get one regular weekend pass to the Taste of Pennsylvania Wine and Music Festival (a $25 value) at the York Fairgrounds. The festival takes place starting at noon Saturday, May 21 and Sunday, May 22.
The fourth annual Taste of Pennsylvania Wine and Music Festival pairs Pennsylvania wines with live musical performances and area vendors. Twenty of the state's wineries, including Hauser Estate and Paradocx Vineyard, will proffer free vinous samples, filling customers' complimentary souvenir glasses with flavorful ambrosias. Live performances by groups such as the New Threads and Little Ivory Blues Band set the tone for an assortment of local and national vendors to hawk products, including jewelry, barbecue sauce, and authentic dragon teeth, to fill up festival-goers' free goodie bags.
Saturday's revelers can stay after hours to see the My Rural Radio Spring Concert to Benefit Children's Miracle Network for free. For an additional $15, the fete-filled weekend can be upgraded with a VIP weekend pass—while tickets are available—which includes additional wine samples, free massages, and the secret password to the VIP tent.
