The 2013 Taste Philadelphia Festival of Food, Wine and Spirits takes place on Friday, October 18, from 4 p.m. to 8 pm.; Saturday, October 19, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.; and Sunday, October 20, from noon to 4 p.m. General admission lets attendees sample food, wine, and spirits from more than 150 food-centric stations. It also grants access to most live culinary demonstrations and special events, such as a meet and greet with Ramona Singer from Bravo's The Real Housewives on NYC, and an appearance by former pro football head coach Dick Vermeil, who will be signing bottles from his winery. For an additional cost, attendees will have the chance to watch the likes of Debi Mazar and Gabriele Corcos, hosts of Cooking Channel show Extra Virgin, and Fabio Viviani, a fan favorite from the fifth season of Top Chef, in action. Other special events, such as wine and beer seminars may also require attendees to purchase additional tickets.
Lancaster Food, Wine, & Spirits Festival
The annual Lancaster Food, Wine, & Spirits Festival showcases celebrity chefs, restaurants, wines, spirits, and vendors. More than 150 gourmet vendors pepper the convention floor. On the expo's stage, local chefs and culinary personalities teach onlookers their cooking techniques and favorite recipes during demonstrations. In 2014, they welcomed the likes of Robert Irvine of the Food Network. Other educational add-ons include beer and wine seminars that explain why, despite popular opinion, grape soda doesn’t complement veal as well as chardonnay does.
