Introducing traditional Italian cooking to central Ohio has been a Corrova family tradition for decades. Papa Pete and Mama Philomena opened their first restaurant in 1929 after emigrating from Naples and Sicily. In 1934, the family cemented its place in Columbus history by serving the city's first pizza, according to the Columbus Dispatch. Today, TAT Ristorante di Famiglia carries on the family legacy by serving classic Old-World dishes and American staples such as prime rib and fried chicken.

Housemade pastas, sauces, and italian sausage represent the Corrovas' commitment to recreating traditional Italian flavors. Chicken cacciatore is sautéed in imported virgin olive oil along with aromatic garlic, onions, and mushrooms. The Corrovas even use Papa Pete's original method to make each pizza.
