In the kitchen, chef and owner Scott Spivak applies the culinary skills he honed as executive chef at Sixth Avenue Bistro, a fine-dining restaurant in Toms River. For breakfast, he and his staff pile poached eggs atop buttery biscuits and crisp fried chicken. But that's not to say Spivak neglects the lighter side of the menu. Fresh arugula and tomatoes complete juicy portobello burgers, and a drizzle of delicate vinaigrette finishes off the grilled-chicken salad.
