Taylors Falls Canoe & Kayak Rental

There's plenty to look at when paddling a canoe along St. Croix River. Every year, thousands of birds migrate up and down its shores. A glance to the skies or nearby trees may even reveal a bald eagle. The forests of hard maple, oak, and pine are also home to other animals—squirrels, white-tailed deer—who just might make an appearance as kayakers and canoers float by or stop along the banks.

This area looks largely the same as it did when Taylors Falls Canoe & Kayak Rental rented its first canoes back in 1910. Today, the company continues the tradition by facilitating one-way trips down the river, complete with free shuttle service and a guarantee that the river won't start flowing backwards mid-trip.

Customer Reviews

We had a very nice time. The kids loved it and said it was really fun. The attendant was helpful as well.

Awesome experience! Best if done in peak fall week, summer should be fine too Looks like wind always directs towarda us so should be prepared for a hard row Stop at one of many islands or just on water to enjoy the sounds of trees and water and nothing else

This was my first time canoeing at Taylor falls and it was wonderful! The river is beautiful and peaceful with little spots you can stop and explore on the way! A bus picks you up at the end, not sure if there is a trail to hike the way back or not but I'd like to find out!
