I didn't know about this business, so thanks to Groupon, I found it. It's a cute little stop in downtown Palo Alto. The tea was delicious - and wonderful varieties! The tea and food pairings were perfect.

I actually went to the one in Palo Alto ~ the staff was really friendly and helpful.

What You'll Get

Like watching the sun rise or seeing a baby climb down from a tree on its own, drinking tea can help you relax. Soothe your senses with this Groupon.

$37 for An Introduction to Tea Enjoyment Class ($75 Value)

Before you can know how to prepare the perfect pot of tea, you need to know the tea itself. Over the course of 90 minutes, Tea Time's masters of leaf-libations teach students how to plumb the dizzyingly rich and rewarding depths of the steeped cup. Four different types of teas—white, green, oolong, and black—keeps most of your senses busy comparing their appearances, flavors, and aromas. The ears, meanwhile, will be learning each tea's origin, its health benefits, how much caffeine it contains, how it is processed, and how much tea hurts when poured into one's head. The class takes place at 7 p.m. every first and third Tuesday of the month. Students enjoy a 25% discount on all loose-leaf-tea purchases.

The Fine Print

Promotional value expires Apr 18, 2013. Amount paid never expires. Limit 1 per person, may buy 2 additional as gifts. Limit 1 per visit. Reservation required. No classes are given in December. Classes will be rescheduled if a minimum of six students is not met. Merchant is solely responsible to purchasers for the care and quality of the advertised goods and services.
