What You'll Get
Pole dancing offers a pole-based exercise more effective than 1920s pole sitting, more energizing than pole vaulting, and more sensual than polenta. Choose a pole exercise that’s just right with today’s Groupon: for $20, you get an introductory signature dance class at Tease Dance and Fitness in Naperville (a $40 value).
Tease Dance and Fitness instructs women in pole dancing, burlesque, and other risqué performance arts while fostering community and self-expression in a supportive environment. Clad in clothes that allow ease of movement, customers will begin their 90-minute introductory course with a candlelit stretch and warm-up, limbering limbs for the subsequent workout on a metaphorically fiery stage. Instructors will teach foundational skills through Pilates and yoga that engender grace and poise before moving into exotic dance and actual pole work. Like Go Fish and ice fishing, dancing in a Tease class does not involve stripping, and training is not intended to prepare women for adult entertainment. Rather, classes may improve body awareness and acceptance while encouraging activity and fitness. As an added perk, Groupon customers will also receive a $50 credit toward an additional eight-week pole class or specialty class, like the Pole Kittens class ($270) or the Burlesque ($270).

About Tease Dance and Fitness
Kristin, Tease’s founder, says her first aerial class made her feel like an acrobat dancing through the air. That's why she made a career of offering classes to guests looking to achieve the feeling of graceful weightlessness. For more than 10 years, guests have taken part in aerial silks and lyra classes, which combine the fun and excitement of the circus with the artistry and grace of dance, plus the raw thrill of running from a hungry bear. They also offer aerial yoga, which fuses the acrobatic arts with traditional yoga asanas, or poses.
