Choose Between Two Options

  • $69 for one month of unlimited CrossFit classes for two (a $280 value)
  • $39 for one month of unlimited CrossFit classes for one (a $140 value)

In CrossFit classes, fully scalable, functional movements are performed at a high intensity in order to quickly whittle the body into shape. After taking the mandatory foundational classes, which takes place on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Mondays from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., exercisers graduate to base-level CrossFit classes that take place on the following schedule, effective January 2, 2013:

  • Monday at 7 a.m., 5:30 p.m., and 6:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday at 6 a.m., 7 a.m., 5:30 p.m., and 6:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday at 7 a.m., 5:30 p.m., and 6:30 p.m.
  • Thursday at 6 a.m., 7 a.m., 5:30 p.m., and 6:30 p.m.
  • Friday at 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
  • Saturday at 10 a.m.

Those that opt for the two-person option are not required to attend classes on the same schedule.

South Franklin CrossFit @ Temple Fitness

“This is not a gym,” Kelly Barbera told Southern Exposure Magazine in 2010. “This is a boutique-style studio where everybody knows everybody.” Kelly, a former acrobat, and her husband, Joey—a former wrestler—run Temple Fitness. In their cozy orange-and-highlighter-green space bedecked with inspirational quotes, the two line the walls with everything comprehensive fitness programs need, from kettlebells to a room dedicated to TRX equipment. The studio wears many hats, with the two designing an assorted handful of fitness and health modalities: boot camp for women, strength-training camp for men, baseball cross-training, personal training, nutritional planning, and FEM classes that combine resistance, strength training, cardio, stretch, balance, and flow to help women achieve a leaner body.

Together, they push exercisers through routines characterized by an abundance of positive feedback and motivation, a hallmark of their gym. Periodically, the two open the facility to host Able Youth nonprofit boot camp for kids confined to wheelchairs. The building is outfitted with showers, air-conditioning, and experienced coaches that focus not only on fitness, and safety equally.
