Tequila Restaurante's owner says that his menu features dishes from "different states in the country of Mexico." This means there's a bit more variety than at the average Mexican joint. Chefs prepare a few cheekily-named dishes, such as the Marco Pollo, a 12-ounce chicken breast topped with PiQueso cheese. Other dishes retain a traditional name and preparation style; for example, the carne asada features classic spices applied to a grilled, 21-day-aged steak. These entrees come with an equal variety of sides, from familiar black beans to sweet corn pudding and mango-sweetened veggies.
