Q:

Can my 16-year old daughter do the course? Also, if I buy it under my name, can I transfer it to her to complete the course?

Anna d.  asked on  Dec 28, 2012

A:

The only admission requirement is a certain level of English proficiency which I assume your daughter possesses. There is no age minimum so you can purchase without worry.

Q:

Are younyc accredited ? and can I use these hours towards my 30 above pay raise in nyc

silvia g.  asked on  Dec 28, 2012

A:

You need to check with your district to see if it is, but there is no reason why it shouldn't be if all you need is a certification course.

Q:

I have been following the links provided by Groupon, and reached a page from TESOLexpress that mentions certificates from University of Cambridge, Trinity College. Is this programme associated with Cambridge? Does it qualify one for the diplomas?

Elaine C.  asked on  Dec 27, 2012

A:

This course is a stand alone certificate program meaning you will not be issued credits for it. For most private schools and schools abroad it will be all you need to teach ESL.

Q:

I have several questions; I hope you will answer all of them, please. 1. Your website mentions a TEFL diploma -- does this course provide the diploma? If my teaching experience is in Mathematics, does that count towards the diploma? How much additional would the diploma be if it is not part of this class, and how necessary is the diploma? 2. are the add-on classes $69 each, or does one payment provide access to, f.i., business English and teaching children, or teaching math and teaching science? 3. Are the books shown on your website included in the cost, or are they extra -- are they necessary, useful, or "extra" for the course? 4. Are TESOL positions reasonably available in counties other than the 5 recommended nations? Would teaching in Central/Eastern Europe pay enough to live and save money? Thank you for your time to answer me.

Elaine C.  asked on  Dec 27, 2012

A:

You receive a digital certificate upon completion of the course. This course is a stand alone certificate program meaning you will not be issued credits for it. For most private schools and schools abroad it will be all you need to teach ESL. You can start the course whenever you want but you have 12 months from the date of activation to complete it. The course is 100% online (no need to leave the comfort of your home) and entirely self-directed meaning it is to be done at you own pace and on your own time. There are no extra courses, exams or costs associated with being certified; the deal price includes everything you need. What we do for you is once you complete your certification you are given access to our exclusive job bank which is updated daily. This is an excellent resource to gain employment anywhere you want around the world. Currently we have employers from over fifty countries represented. Working in Central/Eastern Europe would typically pay enough to be able to live comfortably but you would not be saving as much as if you were to work in the Middle East or Korea.

Q:

How can you be "locked out" of a test? So I can take any of the test until i pass it?

Howard C.  asked on  Dec 27, 2012

A:

If you try to open another window while doing a test or refresh the page or hit back, the system has been programmed to lock you out of the test. If this happens you will have to contact your teacher to have it reassigned to you.
