Q:

I logged in with the redemption code given. How will I be able to change it so they have my info the coursework is under my name?

Seth L.  asked on  Dec 26, 2012

A:

Because of the overwhelming response, we thought that it would be better if students were not allowed to change passwords (just so as to avoid possible confusion). Sorry about the minor inconvenience.

Q:

After certification are there requirements for continuing education. For example, if I become certified but do not teach for 5, 10, or 15 years will my certification still be valid?

Bob  asked on  Dec 26, 2012

A:

The certification is valid indefinitely. As for other Continuing Education courses, our International Teaching Certification (ITC) in Business English is a very useful course. Given that many international schools are going full curriculum English, this means that no longer is it that school only need ESL teachers, but now they are employing teachers to teach Math, Science and Business Courses in English as well. The Business English course tells employers that you have training specifically in teaching Business courses in English to speakers of other languages. At $69, the addon is great value.

Q:

Are there any qualifications for certification like a degree in English or Education or teaching experience?

mary ellen l.  asked on  Dec 26, 2012

A:

If what you are asking is about prerequisites, the only admission requirement is a certain level of English proficiency which by the look of your email, you have already demonstrated you possess. You can purchase without worry.

Q:

Do public schools recognize this certification? And, if so, what other credentials would I need in a case where I would teach only ESL?

David R. W.  asked on  Dec 26, 2012

A:

Public institutions will generally require you have a diploma program (2-3 year) which is not what we offer. This course is mainly to certify you to teach abroad. Employers of private institutions shouldn't have a problem recognizing the course but it is ultimately up to them if it is sufficient for them, enough so, to offer you employment.

Q:

I am not a teacher, but I have a BA in English. Would I still be eligible for the certification without being a teacher? I work in the medical field, but entertain the idea of retiring with my husband to another country and perhaps teaching English.

Paula B.  asked on  Dec 26, 2012

A:

Yes it would. A TESOL certificate is regarded as an imperative prerequisite to be able to work as an English language instructor. Our training sessions are demanding and practical. From the first day of your training, you will be a part of a continuous course of action with our teacher-instructors regarding the most up-to-date teaching modes and procedures. Our program is proficiently managed and examined by external, autonomous, and expert teachers. Once you have passed the course you will immediately be issued the certificate which you can take with you to any employer, anywhere in the world. If you decide TESOL is desirable for you, we really hope you choose us to be your service provider.
