Q:

I am a licensed Colorado teacher. Our district requires 24 credit hour coursework and passing a state test. Does this online course offer credit?

d t.  asked on  Jan 30, 2013

A:

This course is a stand alone certificate program meaning you will not be issued credits for it. For most private schools and schools abroad it will be all you need to teach ESL.

Q:

Where are the classes and are the series of 20 held once a week, 3x a week or what?

Teri K.  asked on  Jan 30, 2013

A:

You can start the course whenever you want but you have 12 months from the date of activation to complete it. The course is 100% online (no need to leave the comfort of your home) and entirely self-directed meaning it is to be done at you own pace and on your own time. There are no extra courses, exams or costs associated with being certified; the deal price includes everything you need.

Q:

I am a certified K - 6 teacher in PA. Does this program give Pennsylvania certification in ESL teaching?

Denise G.  asked on  Jan 30, 2013

A:

You might find that were you to want to teach in a public school in Canada or the US, a certification course such as ours would not be sufficient because the school board requires you have a TESOL diploma instead, which takes 2-3 years to complete. If however you are interested in working in a private school or any school abroad, our course will be more than sufficient to give you the qualifications you need to get the job.
