Q:

Hello, Once you enroll for the course is there a set schedule that must be followed? I saw the above question about exam fees, but curious if books need to be purchased or is that also included? Thanks for your guidance :)

shelly m.  asked on  Jan 30, 2013

A:

You can start the course whenever you want but you have 12 months from the date of activation to complete it. The course is 100% online (no need to leave the comfort of your home) and entirely self-directed meaning it is to be done at you own pace and on your own time. There are no extra courses, exams or costs associated with being certified; the deal price includes everything you need.

Q:

Do you have to be a certified teacher in order to teach English? Or can anyone with any type of degree ex. Business, teach English with your certification? Thank you.

Natasha B.  asked on  Jan 28, 2013

A:

The only admission requirement is a certain level of English proficiency which by the look of your email, you have already demonstrated you possess. You can purchase without worry.

Q:

Can you provide information to show that this course is recognised by the Dept. of Education for PA teachers? And, can you verify that PA counts it as Continuing Education credits, and if so, how many? I would be interested in purchase if you can provide this information, THANKS

Diane L.  asked on  Jan 28, 2013

A:

You need to check with your district to see if it is, but there is no reason why it shouldn't be if all you need is a certification course. This course is a stand alone certificate program meaning you will not be issued credits for it. For most private schools and schools abroad it will be all you need to teach ESL.
