Q:

I would like to have clearification on the expiration date 07/31/13: Does this mean you have to redeem your voucher/register online class OR you are expected to complete the certification program. Is there a time limit for student to finish their150 hours course material? Thank you.

Wei X.  asked on  Jan 30, 2013

A:

You can start the course whenever you want but you have 12 months from the date of activation to complete it. The course is 100% online (no need to leave the comfort of your home) and entirely self-directed meaning it is to be done at you own pace and on your own time. There are no extra courses, exams or costs associated with being certified; the deal price includes everything you need.

Q:

Where can I find reviews of this course? How long has this program been operating?

Mary  asked on  Jan 29, 2013

A:

The reason you might not be able to find reviews is because Google buries us under the keyword: Tesol reviews instead of Tesols reviews. Try this, Google "Tesols" reviews and you should find something.

Q:

If you have a bachelors in education and this certification, would it be valid then to teach in a public school? Also would you be able to be be valid in the state you live in with this certification? For example: Living in Maryland would this certification then be valid by the Maryland State Department of Education?

Loni H.  asked on  Jan 29, 2013

A:

You might find that were you to want to teach in a public school in Canada or the US, a certification course such as ours would not be sufficient because the school board requires you have a TESOL diploma instead, which takes 2-3 years to complete. If however you are interested in working in a private school or any school abroad, our course will be more than sufficient to give you the qualifications you need to get the job.

Q:

Do I need to be a native English Speaker to enroll in the TESOL certification program?

Uwe S.  asked on  Jan 28, 2013

A:

The only admission requirement is a certain level of English proficiency which by the look of your email, you have already demonstrated you possess. You can purchase without worry.

Q:

Do I have to be a native English Speaker to get certified in TESOL? I have lived for half my life in the US, but I am not a native English speaker. I was born and raised in Germany and lived in Europe till age 25 beforeI came to the States. Uwe S.

Q:

Does this certification expire? Also what can you tell me about the accreditation? I only ask because my sister has completed a course before only to find out that no one would accept it because they weren't accredited.

Teiana B.  asked on  Jan 28, 2013

A:

The certification is valid indefinitely. Public institutions will generally require you have a diploma program (2-3 year) which is not what we offer. This course is mainly to certify you to teach abroad or to teach at private institutions where this certificate should be more than sufficient.
