Q:

Can this be used to renew a current teaching certificate? Do you issue CEUs or college credits? What is the syllabus of this class? Are there papers and exams?

Kim N.  asked on  Jan 28, 2013

A:

This course is a stand alone certificate program meaning you will not be issued credits for it. For most private schools and schools abroad it will be all you need to teach ESL. To see a detailed lesson by lesson breakdown of the course please go to: http://tesols.com/tesol/

Q:

I have a few questions ... -- Do I have to begin the course by July 31, or complete all 150 hours of training by July 31? -- I am having difficulty finding third-party confirmation that your course is legitimate and recommended. Can you provide a third-party organizational endorsement?

A:

Thank you for your interest. We are recognized by the English Language Teachers Society of Canada (http://elts.ca/schools/) and The Canadian Association of Second Language Teachers (http://caslt.org/members/members-structure-institutional-current_en.php), are Institutional members of IATEFL (http://www.iatefl.org/ Membership# 23323) and are on the list of applicant members for accreditation at ACTDEC (http://www.actdec.org.uk/members.shtml) You can start the course whenever you want but you have 12 months from the date of activation to complete it. The course is 100% online (no need to leave the comfort of your home) and entirely self-directed meaning it is to be done at you own pace and on your own time. There are no extra courses, exams or costs associated with being certified; the deal price includes everything you need.
