Thank you for your interest. Q:

Is this course/certificate accepted by New York State Board of Regents for public school teaching of ESL?

cathy p.  asked on  Jan 30, 2013

A:

You might find that were you to want to teach in a public school in Canada or the US, a certification course such as ours would not be sufficient because the school board requires you have a TESOL diploma instead, which takes 2-3 years to complete. If however you are interested in working in a private school or any school abroad, our course will be more than sufficient to give you the qualifications you need to get the job.

Q:

One more question. I understand I can earn the certificate, but is there also college credit (either quarter hours or semester hours) available that current teachers can earn with this program for recertification or salary advancement?

Rebecca M.  asked on  Jan 30, 2013

A:

This course is a stand alone certificate program meaning you will not be issued credits for it. For most private schools and schools abroad it will be all you need to teach ESL.

Q:

For clarification: This offer expires Jul 31, 2013. Does this mean that you must complete the course by this date or that you must enroll by this date (and from there continue on at your own pace)?

April S.  asked on  Jan 30, 2013

A:

You can start the course whenever you want but you have 12 months from the date of activation to complete it. The course is 100% online (no need to leave the comfort of your home) and entirely self-directed meaning it is to be done at you own pace and on your own time. There are no extra courses, exams or costs associated with being certified; the deal price includes everything you need.

Q:

Typically, how long does the average student take to complete the course (e.g., how many hours per week, how many weeks in total)? I've been an educator for over 15 years. Would this be appropriate for me as well in terms of extending my learning and expertise?

Q:

Why such a tremendous discount? I visited your website and notice that the courses range from $299 to the $599. I'm concerned that purchasing this discount will not qualify for the full program or give a true certification. Please explain how you are able to offer it at such a dramatic discount...

luann  asked on  Jan 29, 2013

A:

Thank you for your interest. The reason we are able to offer such a great deal is our main business is providing brick and mortar schools with online materials and we have an interest in testing out our TESOL program to offer to the international schools we have relations with.
