Q:

would I be able to use this certification in Mexico, and will I need to buy books or anything in addition to this certification? I read that you will be required a certain level of English proficiency, what exactly does that mean?

A:

Based on how you have been able to write your question to me on this messaging board you do not have worry about your level of English. There are no extra courses, exams or costs associated with being certified; the deal price includes everything you need. You can take this course wherever in the world you are.

The one certificate certifies you in TESOL, TEFL and TESL. We are recognized by the English Language Teachers Society of Canada (http://elts.ca/schools/) and The Canadian Association of Second Language Teachers (http://caslt.org/members/members-structure-institutional-current_en.php), are Institutional members of IATEFL (http://www.iatefl.org/ Membership# 23323) and are on the list of applicant members for accreditation at ACTDEC (http://www.actdec.org.uk/members.shtml)

Q:

Why is this offer so inexpensive? Is there some catch to this offer? I have looked into TOEFL many times and never seen the official course less than several hundred dollars.

Q:

What is the course design? I know it says 150 hours, but is that something I can tackle on my own - for example, if I want to do 3 hours one day and 1 hour the next will I be able to do that? Or will it run more like a traditional online course where we have classes a few times a week online with homework and it will take 6 months to complete?

Q:

Is this program accepted by the Tennessee Department of Education for teachers looking to add on the English as a Second Language endorsement?

Monserrate S.  asked on  Jan 28, 2013

A:

You need to check with your district to see if it is, but there is no reason why it shouldn't be if all you need is a certification course.
