Q:

Am I correct in my understanding that once I purchase this I have until July 31st to start the course and would then have 6 months to complete it (which would then be January 31st 2014)?

Terri L.  asked on  Feb 1, 2013

A:

You can start the course whenever you want but you have 12 months from the date of activation to complete it. The course is 100% online (no need to leave the comfort of your home) and entirely self-directed meaning it is to be done at you own pace and on your own time. There are no extra courses, exams or costs associated with being certified; the deal price includes everything you need.

Q:

The main question we all want to ask is, is this acceptable in the U.S.? I'd like to teach ESL to new immigrants, perhaps not in schools, but as a local volunteer (and I mean TEACH, not aide). I've aided before and was told I couldn't teach because I don't have a BS degree, just an AA degree.

You might find that were you to want to teach in a public school in Canada or the US, a certification course such as ours would not be sufficient because the school board requires you have a TESOL diploma instead, which takes 2-3 years to complete. If however you are interested in working in a private school or any school abroad, our course will be more than sufficient to give you the qualifications you need to get the job.

Q:

My daughter is under eighteen but is in highschool and college; She has passed english 101 and english 102. Would she be able to get her certification? Does it expire after a set amount of years?

Rebecca J.  asked on  Jan 30, 2013

A:

Yes! The only admission requirement is a certain level of English proficiency which by the look of your email, you have already demonstrated you possess. You can purchase without worry. The certification is then valid indefinitely.

Q:

TESOLS -- would you be able to use this to teach off of? or do you still need a teacher's certificate? Is it valid for abroad?

A:

There are many places around the world that would not require you to have a College Degree...this certificate would be sufficient there.
