Welcome to Groupon, Fort Lauderdale! For our inaugural deal, $25 gets you $50 worth of Thai and Asian dinner cuisine at Thai Spice Restaurant, located at 1514 East Commercial Boulevard in Oakland Park. Since this is everyone's first Groupon, allow us to briefly explain how it works.
How Groupon Works
Groupon is a combination of the words group and coupon. Each day, we offer an unbeatable deal on the best of Fort Lauderdale: restaurants, spas, sporting events, theater, and more. By promising businesses a minimum number of customers, we get discounts you won't find anywhere else. We call it "collective buying power."
If you want to get the deal, just click BUY before the offer ends at midnight. If the minimum number of people (25 for today's deal) sign up by the end of the day, you'll be emailed a gift certificate the next morning. You can print your Groupons, or redeem them with our mobile app. Use them whenever you want until the deal expires—today's expires in one year. If not enough people join, no one gets the deal (and you won't be charged), so invite your friends to make sure you get the discount!
Today's Deal
While the Great Wall of China may win the accolades of history, the Great Backscratcher of Thailand—built to reach any itchy corner across the vast, narrow expanse of the nation—saved more lives than can be counted on a single hand. Feast upon equally ingenious Thai creations with today's Groupon: for $25, you get $50 worth of Asian cuisine for dinner at Thai Spice Restaurant. Today's deal is good after 5 p.m.
Recently awarded the five-star dining constellation from the American Academy of Hospitality Science, Thai Spice Restaurant has been family-owned for 22 years. Owner Michael Tatton and his crew use fresh local seafood and USDA steaks and chops for signature fusion dishes. Fill a human belly with a plate of pad Thai ($16), pad seiw ($16), or pad woosen ($16). Thai spice fresh rolls ($9) welcome diners to dip rice paper packages in light sweet chili or peanut sauces. Chicken basil ($15), or pork with fresh ginger ($15), can be prepared to meet the fire-safety codes of individual tongues, with heat levels of mild, smolder, or flamethrower. Doubly-crispy Siam duck ($21) derives it flavor and sense of humor from a full roasting, then is quick fried for crunch.
While taste buds are busy, patrons can gaze at Thai Spice's lush tropical aquariums, wondering how many might fit in a pocket or purse. Call ahead for reservations to secure a spot in a cushiony, cozy booth, underneath the low lighting that's low enough to display the radiance of interpersonal sparks.
Not valid on holidays.
