FAQs
What age do participants need to be to climb?
Minimum age is 7; guests under 18 need a guardian-signed waiver.
Do I need previous climbing experience or to be extremely fit?
No experience needed—most active, healthy guests breeze through many trails at their own pace (with early exits if desired); tougher Blue and Black routes call for extra stamina, agility, and upper-body strength, but peak-athlete status is optional.
What should I wear for my visit to the park?
For safety, guests must wear fully secured, closed-toed shoes—think sturdy, rubber-soled kicks like athletic shoes or hiking boots.
What is the maximum weight limit for participants?
The maximum weight permitted for any person climbing is 265 pounds.
Can I bring my own food and drinks to the park?
Guests may bring their own food, with picnic tables available on a first-come, first-served basis; free water stations are scattered throughout the park, and the retail shop offers drinks and light snacks—just note that alcohol and grills aren’t allowed.
Can we still climb if it's raining?
Rain doesn’t ruin the fun—the park stays open in light showers—but it closes for severe weather (heavy rain, thunderstorms, high winds). During passing cells, operations may pause and guests may be asked to take a break. When the forecast looks iffy, calling ahead to confirm hours is recommended.
