The Irish Wake of Patty O'Toole, a comedy produced by New York's AlphaNYC Theater Company, is a raucous yet tender look at what it's like to attend your own funeral. After the charming and rascally Patty O'Toole passes away, all his friends and family gather to reminisce and say their final goodbyes. Things are going normally when suddenly, the ghost of Patty O'Toole drops in for a visit. Apparently, there's been a processing delay and Patty's in a temporary holding pattern before he can enter the great beyond, so he decides to drop by his own wake and see what people have to say about him, which causes everyone else to realize just how much they'll miss him. There are a lot of laughs, a few tears and a true display of what it means to be Irish in this play at Corner Office NYC Theater.
