About The Atlanta LGBT Film and Music Festival
The Atlanta LGBT Film and Music Festival celebrates love and peace through three days full of sound and vision. There's much to see, and much to dance to, across this weekend of diverse and multicultural independent films and live music. Here are some of the highlights.
- Opening Night: Thursday features the Georgia premier of MAJOR!, a documentary that follows the life and campaigns of Miss Major Griffin-Gracy, a 73-year-old black transgender woman who has been fighting for the rights of trans women of color for over 40 years
- The Films: Friday's flicks include full-length features such as Better Half and A Road to Home and shorts such as I Hate the Color Red and Intrinsic Moral Evil
- The Music: Saturday's dance party in the park features singer and LGBT activist Ts Madison, Hunter Valentine (the all-girl indie rock band seen on Showtime's The Real L Word), hip-hop artists Earthtone, Bry’Nt, Tish Hyman, and Miloh Smith
