• Crystal Pite’s Ten Duets on a Theme of Rescue stretches, distorts, and elevates ordinary human movements into compelling narrative fragments. In the weeks and months to come, you’ll begin to recognize the artistic potential of your morning commute or afternoon strolls down the grocery aisle.
• Didy Veldman’s frame of view is a multi-textured musical landscape that leads dancers through the physical manifestations of emotion. You’ll recognize an eclectic score of popular music from artists such as Nina Simone, Dean Martin, and the Kronos Quartet, plunging you into an emotional journey you haven’t taken since you first heard the Cure in high school.
• In Sunday, Again, choreographer Jo Stromgren weaves choreographic patterns into the phrasing and ornament of J. S. Bach’s music in a masterful expression of musical interpretation.
