About The Bacon Run 5K
It's not common to see a human-sized piece of bacon sprinting through a park and along city streets—unless it's during The Bacon Run 5K. That's when bacon-loving runners don full bacon costumes (or regular gear) to run 3.1 miles for their favorite food. At the end of the timed race, participants gather for the Bacon Party, which treats them to bacon biscuits, pork rinds, and live music. And it's all for a good cause: portions of the proceeds go toward charities that assist children in need.
