Imagine barreling down Chicago's streets—and doing it in an actual barrel. Thanks to The Barrel Run, you don't have to imagine. In addition to offering brewery and distillery tours, the tour company whisks its participants to historic gangster hot spots in a one-of-a-kind vehicle: a bus constructed to look like a beer barrel complete with steel hoops and wood staves. Designed by The Barrel Run founder David Baker, the bus sets the libations-themed tone for each of the company's tours, which include exploring local craft breweries such as Revolution as well as the old haunts of Al Capone, John Dillinger, and more.
