What You'll Get
Your first day on the job, you really don't want to hear your predecessor reached a violent end, but that's just what happens to Dale, a grad student who takes a job on a freighter, in David Mamet's Lakeboat. Based on a real job the masterful playwright had before making it big, Lakeboat opens a series of one-act plays at the Beverly Hills Playhouse San Francisco Theatre. Also on the bill are Brett Neveu's The Last Barbecue, about a distracted son at a family cookout, and J. Michael DeAngelis' Reunion Special, set at the funeral of a former child star. All three plays are seriously funny examples of how much can happen in just one act.
Some of the one acts contain strong language and violence. Please be advised when bringing children.
