What You'll Get
Inner peace is hard to come by, requiring complex negotiations between spleen and kidney. Find harmony more easily with today's Groupon: for $25, you get five yoga classes at The Bindu in Cornelius (up to a $65 value).
The Bindu's cavernous studio space hosts daily classes in an array of yoga styles. Certified instructors create an atmosphere of fun while leading beginners through fundamental postures and breathing exercises during basic yoga and guided relaxation. The studio offers a variety of clases for every skill level. In mixed-level yoga the moderate pace emphasizes alignment, endurance building and flexibly. Two-hour advanced classes require that students be able to perform a handstand in preparation for more challenging poses and deep meditation, though during these sessions the staff supplements sweat with laughter, like a standup comic doing pull-ups between each quip. Alternatively, participants in one-hour Karma Yoga practice gentle flexibility exercises and hone in on peaceful states of mind without breaking a sweat. Ceiling fans regulate the temperature in The Bindu's yoga spaces, and tall, tree-like plants add a feral flourish to the ambiance.

About The Bindu
The Bindu owner Kelley Gardner began studying yoga in 1989, and since that time she’s worked with world-renowned scholars of yoga theory such as Paul Muller-Ortega, Douglas Brooks, and Bill Mahony. Inside the spacious studio instructors walk yogis through classes that are designed for every level of experience; basic yoga sessions are ideal for budding students of yoga and two-hour practice sessions challenge even the most experienced body benders. Although The Bindu has mats, blocks, straps, and blankets for students to use, individuals can bring their own equipment and should leave any laughing hyenas at home.
