Like tree houses, spas are relaxing botanical-filled hideaways where clients can unwind, recharge, and build cars out of soapboxes. Look dashing at the derby with today's Groupon: for $49, you get a 60-minute Swedish massage (up to a $75 value) and a 30-minute European mini facial (up to a $60 value) at The Body Work & Massage Source in Lincoln Park (up to a $135 total value).

A member institution of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals and the American Massage Therapy Association, The Body Work & Massage Source beckons clients with the promise of stress-relieving kneads and facials. Skilled therapists greet overworked muscles with a one-hour Swedish massage, doling out both gentle and firm pressure to boost circulation and untie tangles muscles earned during bruising commutes or boy-scout knot-tying demonstration. Vexed visages benefit from the European mini facial, a 30-minute façade refurbisher that includes a facial massage and cleansing mask. Aestheticians customize each facial according to skin type, then apply conditioning and moisturizing products to keep countenances as smooth as a baby's bottom dresser drawer full of silk blankets.

The Body Work & Massage Source offers a weekday discount, but this Groupon still gets you the best deal available.

About The Body Work and Massage Source

A native of rural Lithuania, Laima Baikauskaite was named the USSR’s fastest runner in 1974. In 1988, she strutted her stuff at the Seoul summer games, taking home a silver medal in the 1,500-meter race. Soon after, she moved to the US where, inspired by the expert massages she and her fellow top-tier athletes enjoyed, she opened The Body Work & Massage Source.

Today, Laima calls upon her firsthand understanding of massage's impact, as well as the love of nature she cultivated as a child. She uses natural products in her treatments and adorns her practice with plants that remind her of her rural upbringing. Inside this outdoors-inspired oasis, visitors bask in facials, massages, and body wraps, which they can schedule online. Peels reveal glowing skin; seaweed, paraffin, and hot stones nourish bodies while dissolving tension; and aromatherapy soothes nostrils by asking them about last night’s dreams.
