Fresh off sold-out, buzzworthy performances at London's Royal Court Theatre and the Brooklyn Academy of Music, this landmark lights-out one-woman performance of three Samuel Beckett plays -- Not I, Footfalls, Rockaby -- comes to the Broad Stage at the Santa Monica College Performing Arts Center. Irish actress Lisa Dwan delivers an ecstatic and technically formidable performance that breathes new life into these classic theater pieces. During the show, all the venue's lights are switched off, and save for the occasional flash stage lighting, the performance takes place in total darkness. This is Beckett at its most intense, artistic and emotional, so prepare yourself for a one-of-a-kind theater experience that you won't soon forget.
This performance runs for 55 minutes in complete darkness. There is a three-minute pause between each of the three pieces, but lights will remain off during that time.
