Buffalo Zoo

The third-oldest zoo in the United States, the Buffalo Zoo was originally founded in 1875, and is the highest attended cultural institution in the region. A great year-round family destination, the Zoo opens at 10 a.m. daily (gates close at 4 p.m.)

Animal species serving as education and conservation ambassadors include the Brazilian ocelot, Western Lowland gorilla, African lion, Indian rhinoceros, and giraffe. And, at the brand-new Arctic Edge, presented by Tops Friendly Markets, celebrity polar bears Luna and Sakari await your visit.

Customer Reviews

This was one of the few times all of the animals were out for viewing. It was a very enjoyable experience this day.

Many of the animals were not outside, including the polar bears and gorillas. The place was fairly clean and bathrooms were available when needed.
